Mw 6.9 Guatemala

On 14 June 2017 a strong earthquake occurred in Guatemala at a depth of 120 km. The seismic event occurred at 07:29:06 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.9.

Two planetary alignments on the 10th, especially Sun-Mercury-Uranus caused a first seismic increase on the 12th when a strong earthquake (Mw 6.3) occurred off the coast of Western Turkey. It was the first strong tremor since 3 June. The strong earthquake in Guatemala then occurred after the lunar peak on the 12th and early 13th. Here we see the first sign of Jupiter and Uranus on opposite sides of the Sun causing trouble during a Mercury transit (between the Sun and Uranus). The next transit (with Mercury between the Sun and Jupiter) would occur on 15 July, two days before the first major earthquake since 22 January. A second strong earthquake occurred offshore Guatemala after Mercury heliocentrically opposed Earth and Saturn.
