Mw 6.0 North Pacific Ocean
updated 30 November 2022

On 2 November 2022 a strong earthquake occurred in the North Pacific Ocean at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 04:53:14 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.0.

Stronger seismic activity up to mid 6 magnitude was anticipated, primarily due to a lunar conjunction with Saturn on 1 November. The tremor occurred at the end of the lunar peak that reached index 16. A second strong earthquake occurred several hours later.
