Mw 8.2 Fiji Region

On 19 August 2018 a great earthquake occurred in the Fiji Region at a depth of 558 km. The seismic event occurred at 00:19:37 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 8.2.

Days earlier the Sun-Venus-Saturn alignment occurred converging with a lunar peak and accompanied by additional (somewhat) critical planetary geometry. At the same time, Venus was closely aligned with Mars and Neptune, which became exact early on the 20th. A strong earthquake already occurred on the 15th and additional strong seismic activity occurred later on the same day, again in the Lombok Region, Indonesia. But the key planetary geometry regarding this great earthquake was undoubtedly the Sun-Mercury-Neptune alignment on the 16th, followed by a high lunar peak on the 17th.
