Mw 7.7 Southeast of Loyalty Islands

On 19 May 2023 a major earthquake occurred Southeast of Loyalty Islands at a depth of 30 km. The seismic event occurred at 02:57:06 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.7.

The estimated primary trigger of this seismic event is critical planetary geometry on 13-14 May and critical lunar geometry on 17 May.

On 13 and 14 May critical planetary geometry occurred that is associated with major earthquakes in the mid-7 magnitude range. On 13 May a right angle with Venus occurred involving Mercury and Uranus. This geometry usually comes in pairs and the second right angle indeed occurred on 14 May with Mercury involving Venus and Uranus. This geometry is indicated on the SSGI graph by the dashed red/purple peaks. On 14 May Venus was also in a conjunction with the Sun and Neptune. On 17 May a high lunar peak occurred, partially due to the Moon's conjunction with Jupiter. Multiple strong atmospheric fluctuations occurred on 13 May indicating West Pacific Regions.
