On 11 December 2022 a strong earthquake occurred at Guerrero, Mexico at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 14:31:29 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.0.

On 8 December a near quadruple conjunction occurred with the Sun, Earth, the Moon and Mars. It was followed by some critical planetary and lunar geometry that converged on 9 December.
