Mw 6.3 Bio-Bio, Chile
On 13 November a strong earthquake occurred in Bio-Bio, Chile at a depth of 22 km. The seismic event occurred at 02:24:59 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.3.
Critical planetary geometry occurred from 6 to 12 November with six planetary conjunctions, converging in particular on 8-9 November and coinciding with four lunar conjunctions involving the same planets. This was due to a near planetary quadruple conjunction on 8-9 November. Joined by the Moon, it was effectively a planetary-lunar quintuple conjunction, including Full Moon, which was an eclipse. Venus and Mercury both made planetary right angles on 8 November as well. The lunar conjunction with Mars on 11 November and the planetary conjunction Venus-Sun-Mars on 12 November likely triggered the strong earthquake in Chile.
