Mw 6.8 South of Panama
updated 30 November 2022

On 20 October 2022 a strong earthquake occurred south of Panama at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 11:57:11 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.8.

A lunar peak on the 19th followed on critical planetry geometry that occurred on 16 and 18 October. Saturn was critically involved due to its conjunction with the Sun and Mercury that was followed by a lunar conjunction with Saturn a day later. In addition, Mercury and Venus made critical geometry with Saturn around the time of the earthquake.
