Mw 6.8 Michoacan, Mexico
updated 30 November 2022

On 22 September 2022 a strong earthquake occurred in Michoacan, Mexico at a depth of 20 km. The seismic event occurred at 06:16:09 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.8. It was an aftershock of the major earthquake on the 19th.

From 11 September to 3 October was considered a critical time-frame because of a long series of critical planetary geometry involving 19 conjunctions. This aftershock occurred after a Sun-Mercury-Neptune conjunction and at the time of a lunar peak that reached index 15.
