Mw 7.0 Southeast of Loyalty Islands
updated 30 November 2022

On 14 September 2022 a major earthquake occurred Southeast of Loyalty Islands at a depth of 139 km. The seismic event occurred at 11:04:07 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.0.

The earthquake occurred early in a critical time-frame that was marked from 11 September to 3 October because of a long series of critical planetary geometry involving 19 conjunctions, the first three of which occurred from the 11th to the 14th when Venus, the Sun, Mercury and Saturn lined up. A high lunar peak that reached 19 on the SSGI-index occurred on the 11th converging with the Venus-Sun-Saturn conjunction. The seismic event occurred just before the next lunar peak that reached index 13.
