On 30 August 2022 a strong earthquake occurred at the Pacific-Antarctic Ridge at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 09:09:46 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.3.
Critical planetary geometry occurred from 26 to 28 August involving Venus and three outer planets. On the 26th lunar geometry peaked index 16. Major seismic activity was anticipated following this planetary and lunar geometry, but Earth was in a relatively quiet period since early June with only one strong tremor per 6-7 days on average (against a normal average of 2.7 days). However, in this time-frame a seismic increase started going into September.
