Mw 6.3 Bismarck Sea

On 9 May 2022 a strong earthquake occurred at the Bismarck Sea at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 22:33:08 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.3.

Due to critical planetary geometry (PG) from 4 to 6 May larger seismic activity was anticipated, potentially reaching 7 to 8 magnitude. Focus was on the lunar peaks (LG) of 4 and 8 May. See also the Telegram posts below.
