Mw 6.4 Southeast of Loyalty Islands
updated 30 November 2022

On 31 March 2022 a strong earthquake occurred Southeast of Loyalty Islands at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 19:50:39 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.4. It was an aftershock of the major earthquake that occurred earlier on the day.

On the 27th a Venus-Jupiter-Neptune conjunction occurred, a conjunction that occurs every 12-13 years (sometimes two or three times after that cycle). A short explanation video about this conjunction was made, especially because the previous time (2009) this conjunction was followed by major seismic activity as well. In addition, three more conjunctions occurred on the 28th and 29th, coinciding with critical lunar geometry. Because of this critical geometric conversion major seismic activity was anticipated, potentially reaching higher 7 to 8 magnitude from 28 to 31 March. See also the Telegram posts below.
