On 22 March 2022 a strong earthquake occurred in Taiwan at a depth of 30 km. The seismic event occurred at 17:41:39 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.7. The tremor was preceded by another strong earthquake at the Northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge about an hour earlier.
An earthquake warning was issued because of a convergence of critical planetary geometry on the 20th and 21st. One or more tremors reaching higher 6 to 7 magnitude were anticipated to occur as early as the 21st. See also the Telegram post below.
