updated 30 November 2022

On 13 March 2022 a strong earthquake occurred in Luzon, Philippines at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 21:05:49 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.4.

A major earthquake warning was issued on the 11th, primarily due to the Venus-Mercury-Neptune conjunction, which is known to precede major earthquakes (high 7 to 8 magnitude). The Earth-Sun-Neptune conjunction on the 13th played an additional role. Two strong tremors peaking Mw 6.6 occurred about 9 hours later. The Venus-Mercury-Neptune conjunction probably played a role in the major earthquake on the 16th. See also the Telegram post below.
