On 2 May 2020 a strong earthquake occurred at Crete, Greece at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 12:51:05 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.6.
From 26 April to 1 May three planetary conjunctions occurred, most notably Earth-Mercury-Uranus, which was a day before the earthquake. Lunar geometry was strong from 29 April to 1 May due to lunar conjunctions involving Jupiter, Saturn and Mars. In addition, a series of right angles occurred with Mercury and Venus from 29 April to 2 May, in particular the ones involving Jupiter, Earth and Neptune.
