Mw 6.6 Bonin Islands, Japan Region
On 18 April 2020 a strong earthquake occurred at the Bonin Islands at a depth of 470 km. The seismic event occurred at 08:25:37 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.6.
Two planetary conjunctions involving Venus occurred on 11 April and a seismic increase followed on 12 April. A convergence of planetary right and semi-right angles on 12 April coinciding with a lunar peak, resulted in additional larger seismic activity early on 14 April. Critical lunar conjunctions involving Mars, Jupiter and Saturn occurred from 14 to 19 April. Another clustering of planetary right and semi-right angles coincided with a higher lunar peak on 15 April, which resulted in a strong seismic event a day later. From 17 to 20 April multiple planetary right and semi-right angles — especially later on 17 and early 18 April — resulted in the strong tremor at the Bonin Islands, followed a day later by a strong shake near the east coast of Honshu, Japan.
