Mw 6.5 Southern Idaho

On 31 March 2020 a strong earthquake occurred in Southern Idaho at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 23:52:31 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.5.

Three planetary conjunctions occurred from 26 to 31 March, most notably Earth-Mars-Saturn, which often results in seismic activity around Mw 6.6 magnitude. High lunar peaks occurred due to clusterings of lunar right and semi-right angles on 26 and 30 March. A critical clustering of planetary right and semi-right angles occurred on 29-30 March.
