On 13 February 2020 a strong earthquake occurred at the Kuril islands at a depth of 150 km. The seismic event occurred at 10:33:44 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.9.
Four planetary conjunctions occurred from 8 to 15 February, which were preceded by planetary right angles involving Mercury, Venus and Neptune on 6 February. This resulted in strong seismic activity from 6 to 9 February. The planetary conjunction Sun-Mercury-Venus on 11 February coincided with a critical planetary right angle of Mercury with Venus and Earth. Additional planetary right and semi-right angles converged in particular on 12 February.
