Mw 6.6 Mindanao, Philippines

On 29 October 2019 a strong earthquake occurred in Mindanao, Philippines at a depth of 20 km. The seismic event occurred at 01:04:44 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.6.

On 26 October a critical lunar conjunction occurred with Mars, which coincided with a right and three semi-right angles with Mercury and Venus. On 28 October a quadruple conjunction occurred with the Sun, the Moon, Earth and Uranus. In addition, Earth was in a near conjunction with Mercury and Venus and the conjunction became exact on 30 October. A second strong earthquake (aftershock) occurred two days later.
