Mw 6.8 Sulawesi, Indonesia
updated 30 May 2022

On 12 April 2019 a strong earthquake occurred at Sulawesi, Indonesia at a depth of 10 km. The seismic event occurred at 11:40:48 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.8.

A series of three planetary alignments occurred from 9 to 11 April, including Earth's alignment with Venus and Neptune on 10 April. Two lunar peaks converged with the alignments on 9 and 10 April, the second of which was very high (index 20), partially due to the Moon's alignment with Jupiter.
