Mw 7.6 North of Honduras

On 10 January 2018 a major earthquake occurred North of Honduras at a depth of 15 km. The seismic event occurred at 02:51:32 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.6.

Three planetary alignments from 7 to 9 January 2018 preceded the major earthquake, most notably Mercury-Sun-Uranus on the 8th. Lunar geometry reached index 12 coinciding with the first two planetary alignments, while a moderate peak occurred with the third.
