Mw 7.3 Offshore Guatemala
updated 7 November 2022

On 7 November 2012 a major earthquake occurred offshore Guatemala at a depth of 30 km. The seismic event occurred at 08:18:23 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 7.3.

A high lunar peak occurred on 1-2 November that followed on the planetary conjunction Sun-Mercury-Neptune. A seismic increase occurred later on 2 November with a strong tremor in Mindanao, Philippines. On 6 November the critical planetary conjunction Venus-Mercury-Neptune occurred. In addition, several 90° angles occurred from 1 to 7 November involving Mercury and Venus, most notably with Earth about 24 hours after the critical conjunction.
