Mw 8.8 Offshore Maule, Chile
updated 23 October 2022

On 27 February 2010 a great earthquake occurred offshore Maule, Chile at a depth of 30 km. The seismic event occurred at 06:34:14 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 8.8.

Critical planetary geometry converged on 21 February with the conjunctions Saturn-Mercury-Uranus and Sun-Venus-Uranus. This planetary geometry was followed by critical lunar geometry on 23-24 February with opposing lunar right angles involving Saturn and Uranus (compare with 1906), converging with the Venus-Sun-Saturn conjunction.
