On 8 October 2004 a strong earthquake occurred at the Solomon Islands at a depth of 30 km. The seismic event occurred at 08:27:53 UTC and had an estimated moment magnitude (Mw) 6.9.
Critical planetary geometry converged on 2-3 October involving Mercury, Mars and Jupiter. However, considerable seismic increase did not occur until after Earth's alignment with Venus and Uranus on 6 October, followed by critical lunar geometry on 7-8 October. The strong earthquake at the Solomon Islands was followed by two more strong tremors on 8-9 October measuring Mw 6.4 (Luzon, Philippines) and Mw 6.9 (near the coast of Nicaragua).
